Simplicity

Simplicity

My poems are a compromise,
Living between two worlds:
One of articulating meaning
And one of only observing.

Of all the things, this is my practice.
To simply do, without trying,
Using less and less of myself,
Following the contours of effortlessness.

Creeping over my life is a new sense,
Of being calm in all things,
And of all things being calm.
A simplicity gained, from standing back.
